Cataracts

Cataracts occur when the lens inside the eye becomes unclear. This is part of the aging process, but may also be caused by disease, some drugs (both prescription and non prescription), injuries and inhereted problems. In any case, the cure is usually an operation where the lense is removed and and replaced with a plastic one. This is done by an Opthalmologist (eye specialist) and is a quick, relatively painless operation with a very high success rate.
